My Story

Like many people, I had a difficult upbringing. It took me a while to work through this trauma and discover my authentic self. Around 14 years ago I decided to become a counsellor in Swindon, after realising I needed to focus on myself, and to do something I truly loved. It has been a wonderful experience. There is nothing more satisfying to me than helping and supporting people who are dealing with trauma.

Since training to be a counsellor, I have continued to expand my skills, undertaking a series of workshops and in 2022 completed a Trauma Counselling course, which has helped me work with others to understand the impact of trauma on the mind and body. I have high levels of experience working within a counselling agency setting, offering support and guidance for a wide range of mental health issues.

Aside from my counselling practice, I worked for three years within a Drugs and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre, helping and supporting individuals with recovery from substance misuse, and giving them the support they need to build brighter futures for themselves.
