Like many people, I had a difficult upbringing. It took me a while to work through this trauma and discover my authentic self. Only 10 years ago did I decide to become a counsellor in Swindon. I suddenly realised that I needed to focus on myself – to do something I truly loved. It has been a wonderful experience. There is nothing more satisfying to me than helping and supporting people who are dealing with trauma.
Since training to be a counsellor, I have continued to expand my skills, undertaking a series of workshops and recently completing a Trauma Counselling course, which has helped me work with others to understand the impact of trauma on the mind and body. I have high levels of experience working within a counselling agency setting, offering support and guidance for a wide range of mental health issues.
Aside from my counselling practice, I worked for three years within a Drugs and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre, helping and supporting individuals with recovery from substance misuse, and giving them the support they need to build brighter futures for themselves.
If you have any questions about my counselling in Swindon or online, don’t hesitate to give me a call or simply take a look at my FAQS page.
