Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens During Counselling?

You are given a safe, confidential, private space where you can talk about your problems as freely as possible and explore the root causes behind the difficulties you are facing. Whether you are suffering with anxiety, depression, or a trauma of any kind, our sessions provide an opportunity for you to understand the issue better and develop a bespoke way to move past it that makes sense to you.

How Do I Know If I Need Counselling?

Counselling or psychotherapy is suitable for people with any kind of mental health issue, such as depression, anxiety, traumatic memories, loneliness, relationship or family issues, any losses or abuses suffered in the past, or any other recurring issue that you feel like you need help with.

How Long Does Each Counselling Session Last?

Sessions last 50 minutes.

How Often Should I Have Sessions?

Generally, I see clients on a weekly basis. You may, over time, feel like a session every fortnight is all you need. It’s up to you.

How Do I Pay for Counselling Sessions?

Payment is required prior to or on the day of the session. My preferred payment is via electronic bank transfer, although I am able to accept payment by cash or Credit/Debit card.

I am here to be your confidential, non-judgemental form of support. Whether you prefer in-person, telephone or online, my counselling in Swindon and online gives you a safe place to speak freely and work through your issues. Give me a call or email to arrange your first session or ask any questions you might have.
